Spinach Pizza!

I had a spinach pizza from Amy's recently and it was pretty good. I've come to the conclusion that you can eat anything with cheese and it will be good. Today I had a spinach pizza pocket which is much more convenient for me at work since it's microwaveable. I've had Amy's burritos before but I always thought they were overpriced for what they provided nutritionally, though they are all organic. The ones I'm eating now have tofu in them as well which you cannot really taste but add tremendously to the protein content.

I've decided that I will continue to eat cheese in prepackaged meals, so I probably won't be vegan anytime soon. Not because I can't go without cheese in my life, but because so many veg options contain it. I will try to eat only organic cheese preferably that doesn't contain animal enzymes or rennet (which is obtained from animals' stomach lining, thereby supporting the slaughter industry) and thankfully Amy's stuff at least meets those requirements. It's bad enough knowing that I'm eating animal excretions. If I had more time and money and could find or cook food that didn't have cheese or other dairy products I would, but for now I'll have to be happy with this.

After browsing through their website I am eager to try more things. I think the next thing I try is the Indian samosa wraps with peas, potatoes, and tofu. I might even break down and try the one with broccoli, cheese, and potatoes, or the palak paneer (though the ratio of spinach to cheese looks a little low) or even the Indian vegetable korma (although it contains cauliflower, which is completely alien to me and looks like brains, although it's far down on the ingredients list and mixed with other stuff so you probably can't taste it).
